Full description: |
Most of the exercises will be held in a microscope room, where students will learn about the histology of the nervous system and the types of neurons. Separate exercises will be devoted to the practical learning of cutting and staining histological sections of the brain, spreading them on slides, recognizing the main structures of the brain on sections and staining the sections using basic methods (e.g. the Nissel method, DAPI) and the evaluation of the sections obtained under a microscope. During the next exercises, the methods of examining the nervous system used in neurophysiology will be discussed: electrophysiological, histological, immunohistological and genetic, as well as the results of more interesting studies carried out with these methods. |
