Short description:	The course provides basic knowledge and understanding of essential concepts and principles of ecology – the study of interactions within and among populations, of interactions between organisms and their environment, and of how all these were (and still are) shaped by natural selection. The students will get hands-on experience in some research techniques used in ecology, will have an opportunity to draw conclusions from their own results and practice critical thinking in analyzing the results and conclusions of others.
