Short description:

Understanding of fundamentals of biology evolution, origin of life, speciation, their importance for understanding of ecological processes. Presentation of evolutionary and behavioral ecology.

Full description:

Biological and non-biological repolicators. Genes, cells and organisms. Levels of natural selection. Group and individual selection. Conflicts and cooperation between genes. Selfish gene. Fitness. Inclusive fitness. Variability. Neutral evolutrions and stochastic elements in nevolution. Mutations. Genetic derift.

Sexual reproduction. Basic hypothesis of its evolution. Sexual selection. Differences in reproductive strategies of males and females. Proportion of sexes. Hypotheses for equal proportion. Explanations for not equal proportions. Kin selection. Cooperation between related organisms. Evolution of social insects.Cooperation between unrelated individuals. Reciprocal altruism. Prison’s dilemma.Conflicts between animals. Evolutionary stable strategy.Evolution of life strategies. Trade off between different life functions. Optimal age and body size at reproduction. Evolution of death.
