Short description:

The introduction to the distribution of soil organisms in zonal soil types and their adaptation to environmental conditions. Basic concepts and paradigms of modern soil zoology and biogeography, including detrital food webs, spectra of life forms and food groups, modularity of soil ecosystems, etc. The spatio-temporal patterns of distributio and functioning of soil communities at different levels of resolution and coverage of research.

5. Zoological methods of soil diagnostics.
