Short description:

The essential aim is for the student to prepare a thesis.

Full description:

The course will familiarise students with the methodology of writing a scientific paper. There will be an analysis of selected scientific texts, combined with discussion. In addition, an important part of the workshop is the collection of bibliographies. This includes both the search for the necessary literature and the application of a critical approach to the collected scientific literature. Techniques for searching the literature and sources are also important in this connection.

The collection of literature allows one to return to the proposed research area. It also allows for the identification of the core research problem, the establishment of a preliminary thesis and preparation for the framing of the thesis topic.

The next issues are the technique of writing the thesis including basic formal issues, i.e. creating a table of contents, references, bibliography of various sources (including scientific literature, Polish and international legal acts, court decisions).

(a) compilation of a subject bibliography,

b) choice of methodology

c) formulation of the research area and proposal of the topic for the work

f) preparing a work plan.
