Introductory class to practical aspects of conucting empirical research wit particular reference to cross-cultural psychology and cultural context of social behaviors. |
Full description: |
Short introduction to empirical research metodology: - source of research questions and hypotheses (How reseracrhers know what he/she is aimed to study?) - empirical verification of hypotheses: research methods (How study this, what should be studied in aim to answer research question?) - data analysis and interpretaion of results - writting empirical report according to APA style. Appendix: importance of cultural context in conducting empirical research. Research topics: - narcissism and entitlement; - attitudes toward own nation(patrioism, nationalism, messianims) - political iamge, political scandal, voting behaviors; - perception of social world (trust, beleif in life as zero-sum game, culture of complaining). Replication of already published simple research. |
