Full description:	Substantive content: Substantive issues brought during classes will be subject to formal and methodological stages of scientific work. Topics covered during the seminar 1. Composition and formal requirements of empirical papers concerning psychology. 2. The concept of work; the problem and hypotheses in a deductive paradigm. 3. Conducting research. 4. Statistical analysis and interpretation of research. 5. Submission of a pro-seminar paper written by APA standards. Evaluation methods: The pro-seminar ends with writing a paper - a report on the research.

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS:	Learning outcomes - skills EK 1 - Can use a variety of methods and selected psychological tests helping to diagnose human behavior, individual differences and personality; EK 2 - Has the ability to analyse of SPSS statistical package. EK 3 - Can apply the appropriate methods of statistical analysis to interpret empirical data EK 4 - Can assess the value of research technices ECTS participation in class = 15 hours Conducting research and writing a report = 15 hours sum = 30 hours Number of ECTS: 30/30 = 1
Assessment methods and assessment criteria:	(in Polish) Podstawą oceny jest przygotowana praca seminaryjna, będąca raportem z badań empirycznych. Oceniane będą: - poprawność formalna (zgdność z APA) - przegląd literatury - uzasadnienie hipotez - zastosowane analizy i interpretacje wyników - dyskusja wyników własnych na tle aktualnej literatury
