Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS:

Knowledge: A student knows what problems comprise biological behavior basics discipline and how it evolved. Identifies biological causes of psychological processes. Analyses scientific texts. Presents and explains chosen tasks from the theory of evolution, ethology, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, biochemistry of central nervous system, embryology, electrocephalography and neuropsychiatry.

Skills: A student understands and interprets biological processes occurring in human body, can relate them with psychical processes and use his knowledge behalf other people. Verifies the value of diagnostic tests. Critically relates to scientific works from neurobiology. Notices biological causes of psychical pathologies.

Capacity: A student accepts multifactorial base of psychical life and is aware of its value. Notices the need of completing knowledge from biological sciences. A student is open to cooperation with specialists in other disciplines. Aims to holistic apprehension of psychical life.

ECTS:

Participation in a lecture – 48 hours

Preparation for a lecture – 24 hours

Consultations – 3 hours

Writing an essay – 15 hours

Preparation for an exam – 30 hours

Sum of hours – 120 [120 : 30 (25) = 4]

Number of ECTS - 4

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Knowledge:

(2) : A student doesn’t have basic knowledge of biological behavior basics, doesn’t know chosen problems from neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neuropsychiatry and related sciences.

(3) : A student has general knowledge from neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neuropsychiatry and related sciences, but selectively notices relation between biological factors and psychical processes.

(4) : A student has accurate knowledge from neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neuropsychiatry and related sciences, accurately notices relation between biological factors and psychical processes.

(5) : A student has perfect orientation in the discipline, knows the methods of cultivating it, has systematic knowledge from neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neuropsychiatry and related sciences, alone notices biological base of physiological and pathological psychical processes.

Skills:

(2) : A student doesn’t see the biological processes occurring in human body and is unable to relate them with psychical processes. Doesn’t verify the value of diagnostic tests, doesn’t know the practical way of using them. Is unable to evaluate scientific works.

(3) : A student poorly sees biological processes occurring in human body, has difficulties with biological justification of psychical processes, can only name diagnostic investigations, not completely understands the cognitive and practical value of biological base of psychical life.

(4) : A student accurately identifies biological processes occurring in human body and accurately relates them with psychical processes, notices the cognitive and practical value of biological base of psychical life, can interpret social phenomena in context of evolutionary evolvem ent.

(5) A student perfectly interprets biological processes occurring in human body, can justify his own position, can formulate scientific hypothesis concerning human behaviour and lead a discussion about the value of diagnostic tests, can avoid methodological mantraps.

Capacity:

The level of awareness of multifactoral undertow of psychical life and awareness of the need of exploiting the biological and medical knowledge etc are marked.

Effect of knowledge:
