Thematic scope of lectures provided during this subject, as well as their main aim, is to introduce students to fundamental terms, questions, and problems of classical psychological thought with particular acknowledgment of historical and philosophical roots as well as cultural and biographical context of emergence and logic of change in paradigms in which it has been developed.

Thematic scope of lectures provided during this subject, as well as their main aim, is to introduce students to fundamental terms, questions, and problems of classical psychological thought with particular acknowledgment of historical and philosophical roots as well as cultural and biographical context of emergence and logic of change in paradigms in which it has been developed.

Aims:

- to provide knowledge on the subject of the philosophical-historical and cultural background of the emergence of psychology's subject

- to provide knowledge about the structure of the knowledge process in psychology

- to discuss the matter of specificity and identity of psychology as a science

- to explain the variety of research methods and thinking styles within psychology

- to introduce big questions and problems that psychology has been facing

- to understand assumptions of psychological schools and main psychological conceptions of a man
