Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS:

Knowledge:

acquired knowledge contains above all the problems of forensic psychology and its special connection with the law. Students know how to use psychological knowledge to solve the problems in penal, civil and family cases. Students will get to know significant theoretical and practical problems - the way the court uses psychologists' help in criminal and civil cases.

In criminal cases students will learn about the problems of sanity (the ability to understand one's actions and directing them). They acquire the knowledge concerning the role of motivation (motivational processes) in explaining forbidden behaviors. They know basic legal regulations concerning psychological opinions and the court's expectations concerning the quality of psychological opinions.

Skills:

Prepared to act as an expert (forensic expert); can plan examination and prepare testimonils for the court. Can work on his own and in group. Knows his rights and obligations, principles of conducting examiantions respecting the rights of the suspects, the accused and professional ethics.

Competence:

open and critical concerning one's own abilities to become a forensic expert; can assess the range of problems and objectively assess his individual abilities.; knows how and where his abilities can be improved.
