Level of the course: advanced Objectives of the course: Ability to carry out research and construction of a research dissertation. Ability to deliberate and consistent use of modern research methods. Ability to use well the modern language of science (including scientific terminology). Proficiency in using sources, to master the formal rigor of scientific argument (including how to cite and paraphrase, forms of creating footnotes and bibliography). Ability to present the research problem and ability to obtain meaningful solutions. Ability of logical proving. Entrance requirements: The student's full range of knowledge and skills after completing the third year of studies provided in the programme of studies. |

Course contents: The principles of presenting a research problem. Identification of purposes and methods of the research undertaken. The principles of developing and using the sources. Rules of presentation of the state of research. Composition of the scientific work. The editorial principles of master's theses about the Polish language. Assessment methods: Written MA dissertation.
