Course Level: basic

Course Objectives:

The main aim of the practical stylistics classes is to prepare students to write various types of texts, especially scientific texts. Students learn about the general principles of construction of the text (delimitation and coherence of the text, text composition, paragraph construction), functional styles of the Polish language, and various forms of expression (including the scientific article, dissertation, review, report, press release, application, letter of application, CV). The knowledge gained during the analysis of the text is subordinated to the acquisition of practical skills - students learn how to build up texts, adapting forms of expression to its purpose, and selecting the appropriate means of expression.

Po zaliczeniu przedmiotu student:

- rozpoznaje, nazywa i wyjaśnia różnorodne zjawiska stylistyczne

- posługuje się terminologią językoznawczą i literaturoznawczą do opisu zjawisk będących przedmiotem zainteresowania stylistyki

- analizuje teksty pod kątem ich właściwości stylistycznych

- porządkuje i analizuje informacje pozyskane z tekstów naukowych wskazanych w bibliografii

- dyskutuje o nowych i spornych zjawiskach stylistycznych we współczesnej polszczyźnie

- ma świadomość ograniczeń normatywnych oraz kulturowych w doborze środków stylistycznych w różnych sytuacjach komunikacyjnych

- dba o pogłębienie własnej świadomości i sprawności językowej
