Full description:

The course presents selected issues related to contemporary Italian culture in the context of museology, art and fashion. The introduction defines the genesis of the phenomena connected with the emergence of the avant-garde and defines the development of new art centres. The changes in the perception of modern art are shown against the background of the development of classical art. The considerations are accompanied by a review of new centres - Milan and Turin. The seminar also presents the cultural changes in the most important Italian centres - Venice, Rome and Florence - adapting them to the needs of contemporary art and exhibition. The most important creators of art and fashion active in Italy are discussed. The course concludes with an overview of the most important modern museum centres, their exhibition strategies and the ways in which they have attracted visitors to contemporary culture.
