Short description:	Course level: basic Course aims: The student knows and understands contemporary phenomenons of the theatre - their origin and transfomations; obtains the skill of analysing the theatre play presenting and interpreting particular elements of the language of the theatre; knows and understands contemporary ways of stage communication; recognizes antecedention (history) of contemporary stage conventions. Entrance requirements: The student should know historical and literary changes with special attention paid to drama
Full description:	Course content: Artistic material of the theatre and contemporary stage conventions (music, art, acting, costumes, literature). Theatre language of nowadays and its historical changes. Theatre life - reviews, conventions, legends, - social function of the theatre. Reception of the stage work - individual and social one. Role and meaning of individual elements of the performance. Historical changes of theatre conventions and their present meaning. Methods of assessment: Analysis of topics chosen from the basic knowledge about the theatre.

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS:	3 basic knowlegde about theatrology and other kinds of arts, - can analize performance, - knows modern tendentions in theatre and its history - knows theatrical libraries - know how role has theatre in culture - can discuss about theatre, 30 h - participation in classes 10 h- prepeearing to test 25 h - reading the litterature.
Assessment methods and assessment criteria:	Exam. Bardzo dobry – student knows main terms focused on history and theory of theatre,, he knows main issues from history and theory of theatre, knows main conventions of theatre, can adjust methodology to every theatrical text, he can compare it with other textes of culture. Dobry - student knows main terms focused on history and theory of theatre,, he knows main issues from history and theory of theatre, knows main conventions of theatre, he can compare theatrical text with other textes of culture. Dostateczny - student knows main terms focused on history and theory of theatre,, he knows main issues from history and theory of theatre, knows main conventions of theatre. Niedostateczny - student dosen't know main terms focused on history and theory of theatre,, he doesn't know main issues from history and theory of theatre, doesn't know main conventions of theatre, can't adjust methodology to every theatrical text, he can't compare it with other textes of culture.
