Short description:

The purpose of the seminar is to show the key importance of everyday life and the experience of everyday life for human culture. The suggested readings and open discussions conducted on the basis of dialogue introduce a reflective and critical look at the world around students.

During the lecture, the basic experiences of a human being such as making money, making friendships, everyday communication, consumption, entertainment, family relationships, concern for health, and search for meaning in life will be reflected. A reflection will be made on the world lived through the various contexts of individual life. Knowledge of basic anthropological categories related to experiencing the social world and subjective aspects of culture will be provided.

KU2_W02 - Knows the specialist terminology in the field of cultural studies and other cultural sciences (anthropology, sociology, philosophy) and related humanities and social disciplines (literary studies, linguistics, social communication and media, art history) at the extended level. Understands key concepts and theories developed on their basis to the extent that allows the integration of perspectives specific to several scientific disciplines.

KU2_W06 - Knows key phenomena and transformations within contemporary culture, understands their conditions (political, economic, social) and consequences. Knows the most important theoretical concepts to explain them.
