Short description:

Portraits of directors – masters and young – who create new routes of contemporary artistic theatre.

Full description:

Watching premieres (and older performances) of such directors, analyzing them should learn how to read the performance, recognize artists' strategies regarding watchers, texts they stage, their thinking.

Focus on performances and mainstreams of a contemporary theatre which have directs links to reality, history, current discussions.

1. Watching premiers of eminent directors.

2. Preformances of young and interesting directors.

3. Watching performances of masters who died, but whose performances are still on.

4. Performancec of world theatre masters showed in Poland in the current time.

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS:

- getting new knowledge which student can develop on his own also on his profession;

- orientation in contemporary culture, events and attending in them;

- skills to get info from different basis of data, sources, critical using of the data and developing in own research;

- being ready to discuss and have lectures

ECTS description:

- presence – 30h

- watching recommended performances and films - 20h

- reading recommended literature – 10h

- preparing a lecture – 15h

total – 75h = 3 points of the ECTS

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Good notes for attending in our meetings and visiting events discussing on it. Active discussing is welcome, critical and individual attitude to performances and subjects, using knowledge in different fields of science and culture.

Student will get a note in the end without passing any exam and writing any text.
