Level of course: Basic Objectives of the course: Ability of designing and performing of an extensive experiment in order to determine the value of a physical quantity or investigate the physical phenomenon/object. Ability of analyzing the acquired experimental data and formulating conclusions. Prerequisites: Fundamental physics. Mathematical methods of error analysis. Theory and evaluation for the particular performed experiment. |

Topics of experimental physics and its methods based on classical and modern physics, using advanced electronic techniques and methods of numerical data analysis used in scientific laboratories. Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS: |
(in Polish) 1. Zna podstawowe zasady wykorzystywania prac naukowych do badań. 2. Zna złożone układy pomiarowe wykorzystujące narzędzia elektroniczne i informatyczne. 3. Zna zasady bezpieczeństwa i higieny pracy w stopniu wystarczającym do samodzielnej pracy w zawodzie fizyka. 4. Korzysta z literatury fachowej dla wybranej dziedziny fizyki zarówno w języku polskim jak i angielskim. 5. Posiada umiejętności wyrażania treści fizycznych w mowie i na piśmie, w tekstach fizycznych o różnym charakterze. 6. Potrafi obsługiwać złożone układy pomiarowe i precyzyjnie przeprowadzać pomiar i analizę danych. 7. Potrafi pracować zespołowo; rozumie konieczność systematycznej pracy nad wszelkimi projektami, które mają długofalowy charakter. 8. Potrafi formułować opinie na temat podstawowych zagadnień fizycznych. Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
Experiments are performed in pairs. Individually are assessed: + preparation for the experiment (short oral test); + co-operation in performing the experiment (activity and skills); + written description of the work done and containing data analysis; + timeliness of completion of the experiment. Each experiment is assessed separately and positive notes are required to pass the laboratory. Final note is the average of the all collected notes. |
