Short description:

To familiarize students with basic information about modern computer graphics. Practical knowledge of raster graphics modeling.

Full description:

The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the principles of digital image processing on the example of GIMP, PovRay, Blender. Students learn basic operations - photomontage, retouching, panoramic photos. They will also acquire knowledge of the principles of 3D graphics modeling using geometric primitives and RayTracing graphics design.

W1 - names and describes basic techniques in the theory of computer graphics and its applications both in mathematics and in other sciences (I1_W14),

U1 - can use programs to create, process and convert three-dimensional graphics (I1_U18).

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

The following evaluation criteria are adopted for all effects in all forms of verification:

rating 5: fully achieved (no noticeable shortcomings),

rating 4.5: almost fully achieved and the criteria for awarding a higher rating are not met,

grade 4: achieved to a significant extent and the criteria for awarding a higher grade are not met,

grade 3.5: achieved to a significant extent with a clear predominance of positives and the criteria for awarding a higher grade are not met,

rating 3: achieved for most cases covered by the verification and the criteria for awarding a higher rating are not met,

grade 2: not achieved for most cases under review.
