Full description: |
The purpose of lectures is to present a current state of the knowledge concerning of a novel quickly developing technology known as ad hoc and sensor networks (ASN), w particular wireless sensor networks (WSN). In the first part of lectures we will discuss computer-communication technologies having a great impact on developing of ASN, including cellular systems of mobile communication, Internet of Things, distributed systems cloud/fog/edge processing and issues of emerging field of Ambient Intelligence. In the second part of lectures architectures of both a single node and ASN networks will be presented. The issues of multiplexing and theoretical problems related to wireless communication will be considered. In the third part of lectures solutions concerning of communication protocols in WSN proposed either in a literature or implemented in real-time systems will be discussed. |
Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS: |
Lecture and laboratory Student: W1 - knows modern wireless communication protocols in ad hoc and sensor networks, U1 - constructs applications optimizing the operation of ad hoc and sensor networks. |
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
For all learning outcomes, the following assessment criteria are adopted for all forms of verification: grade 5: fully achieved (no obvious shortcomings), grade 4.5: achieved almost fully and criteria for awarding a higher grade are not met, grade 4: largely achieved and the criteria for a higher grade are not met, grade 3.5: largely achieved - with a clear majority of positives - and the criteria for granting a higher grade are not met, grade 3: achieved for most of the cases covered by the verification and criteria for a higher grade are not met, grade 2: not achieved for most of the cases covered by the verification. |
