Short description:

Within the course, mathematical methods used in various branches of theoretical physics are presented in detail: from classical mechanics, through electrodynamics and quantum mechanics, to applications in field theory.

1. Variational calculus.

2. One-dimensional and multidimensional vibrations in classical mechanics.

3. Orthogonal polynomials.

4. Harmonic oscillator in quantum mechanics.

5. The Dirac delta function.

6. The Fourier transform.

7. Applications of functions of a complex variable I.

8. Applications of functions of a complex variable II.

9. Green's functions.

10. Perturbation calculus.
