Preliminary Requirements:	Basic knowledge of the history and archaeology of the early Middle Ages in Central Europe.
Short description:	The aim of these lestures is to critically analyse the traditional vision of the earliest "history" of POland by pointing to misinterpretations of the earliest sources and stressing necessity of interdisciplinary collaboration by history, archaeology, and historical anthropology.
Assessment methods and assessment criteria:	Active participation in lectures and passing written exam.
