Short description: |
Only for Faculty of Education students. The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the phenomenon of the creation of youth subcultures as well as the causes and effects of participation in various subcultures. After completing the course, students are able to analyze the opportunities and threats resulting from the participation of young people in various subcultures. They are open to dialogue with subcultural youth. |

The course is in Polish for Polish students, but individual consultations in English will be organized for Erasmus students, as well as individual e-learning tasks and discuss using Moodle. |
Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS: |
Student in the field of: Knowledge: W_01 - defines the main terms relating to youth subcultures and explains the importance of the socialization process in belonging to youth subcultures. W_02 - lists the causes and effects of young people entering subculture groups Skills: U_01 - uses theoretical knowledge to propose educational and preventive activities in work with subcultural youth Competences: K_01 - is convinced of the need to undertake educational, preventive and rehabilitation measures in the subcultural environment Description of ECTS -Participation in the lessons -15 hours (asynchronous meetings using Moodle) -Preparation for classes and for consultations (preparation of scientific texts, doiing tasks and exercises on Moodle) - 35 h - reading the indicated literature - 20 - preparation for the oral statement - 10 h - Participation in the lessons- 2 h (synchronous meeting using MS Teams) - individual consultations - 8 preparation for oral exam - 20 hours TOTAL: 15 + 35 + 20 + 10 +2+8 +20 = 110 = 3 ECTS |
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
The student realizes the assumed learning outcomes to assess: - sufficient (3,0) in terms of: knowledge: distinguishes between the main terms concerning youth subcultures, lists the causes and effects of young people entering subculture groups skills: uses elementary theoretical knowledge to propose simple educational and preventive actions in work with subcultural youth; competences: understands the need to undertake educational, preventive and rehabilitation activities in a subcultural environment -sufficient plus (3.5) for: knowledge: distinguishes and defines the main terms concerning youth subcultures, lists and describes the causes and effects of young people entering subculture groups; skills: uses theoretical knowledge to propose simple educational and preventive actions in work with subcultural youth, taking into account the differences between subcultures; competences: is convinced of the sense and the need to undertake educational, preventive and rehabilitation activities in the subcultural environment. - good (4.0) in terms of: knowledge: distinguishes, defines and explains the main terms concerning youth subcultures, distinguishes typologies of subcultures, lists and describes and analyzes the causes and effects of young people entering subcultural groups and knows how to classify them. skills: uses theoretical knowledge to propose various educational and preventive activities in work with subcultural youth, taking into account the differences between subcultures; competences: is convinced of the sense and need to undertake educational, preventive and rehabilitation activities in the subcultural environment, is open to dialogue with subcultural youth a good plus (4.5) in terms of: knowledge: distinguishes, defines and explains the main terms related to youth subcultures, describes typologies of subcultures, explains the theory of the emergence of subcultures, lists, describes and analyzes the causes and effects of young people entering subculture groups and knows how to classify them, taking into account the type of subculture and the role they play members. skills: uses theoretical knowledge to propose various educational and preventive activities in work with subcultural youth, taking into account the differences between subcultures, is able to plan alternative to subcultural forms and ways of meeting the needs of young people; competences: is convinced of the sense and need to undertake educational, preventive and social rehabilitation activities in the subcultural environment, is open to dialogue with subcultural youth and is ready to take up challenges in pedagogical work. - very good (5.0) in terms of: knowledge: distinguishes, defines and explains the main terms related to youth subcultures, describes typologies of subcultures, explains the theory of the emergence of subcultures, lists, describes and analyzes the causes and effects of young people entering subculture groups and knows how to classify them, taking into account the type of subculture and the role they play the members demonstrate knowledge, both the knowledge gained during the lectures and the knowledge deepened by the literature on the subject. skills: is distinguished by creativity and reflexivity in using theoretical knowledge to propose various educational and preventive activities in work with subcultural youth, taking into account the differences between subcultures, is able to plan forms and ways of meeting the needs of young people alternative to subcultural ones; competences: is convinced of the sense, value and need to undertake educational, preventive and social rehabilitation activities in a subcultural environment, openness to dialogue with subcultural youth and readiness to take up challenges in pedagogical work the final grade consists of: activity during classes (including a presentation on a given subculture and Moodle) 50% oral exam - 50% |
