Short description:

The purpose of the course is to familiarize students with the basic concepts of moral education. Thanks to that they will be enable to recognize problems arising at the interface of education, morality and politics, and especially one of the nowadays predominant social coexistence form - democracy. In the analysis of pedagogical phenomena, the point of reference will be philosophical, psychological and sociological concepts that seem helpful in pointing out the pedagogical proprium of moral education. An important result of the course will be the acquisition of a critical position towards the concepts of moral education which explain it unilaterally and tendentiously.

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS:

Students:

- know the selected concepts of man and have ordered knowledge of its development in terms of moral;

- have an elementary knowledge of designing and conducting research in the field of moral education, and in particular research problems, methods, techniques and tools used in them;

- distinguishe and are able to assess the diversity principles of moral education;

- are able to use basic theoretical knowledge to analyze and interpret contemporary educational problems;

- can accurately and consistently express themselves in speech and writing and presenting their views both in relation to the known theoretical concepts, as well as the positions of other members of the group;

- are aware of the role of human values and the importance of integral human development.
