Objectives of the subject:

Having completed this course, learners will have ability to:

discuss symptoms, stages and typologies of social maladjustment;explain the importance of diagnosis in the process of rehabilitation;list and justify the selection of specific techniques and methods in rehabilitation;

describe the assumptions and methods of work in rehabilitation in an open as well as in a closed environment;indicate the difficulty in using rehabilitation in education and upbringing;discuss the mechanism of violence and addiction, and forms of assistance for people dependent on violence and addiction.

Course contents:

Rehabilitation pedagogy - theoretical context. Social maladjustment: causes, symptoms, stages and typologies. Objectives and principles of reintegration. Diagnosis of causes. Methods and techniques of social reintegration. Guidance gouvernors/Probation oficer). Feed back system upgrowing and rehabilitation. Addiction and family violence Prevention in an open environment. Rehabilitation agencies - critical analysis. Specialized programs. Social readaptation. Difficulties in the process of rehabilitation.
