The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with selected problems of modern labour pedagogy and develop skills that are necessary to register and monitor those problems, as well as stimulate students to trigger their personal and professional development. |

Scope of subjects: 1. Basic categories of labour pedagogy – human labour, qualifications and professional competencies, profession; 2. Transformations in type, content and organization of work. Flexibility as new structural quality; 3. Values in labour pedagogy: subjectivity, responsibility, entrepreneurship; 4. School and non-school system of vocational education vs. expectations of emploi; 5. Modern problems in the world of labour: unemployment, discrimination, mobbing, workaholism, stress, professional burnout; 6. Labour pedagogy in view of transformation processes, europeanization and globalization; 7. Models of the course of professional career development. Aspects influencing managing one’s career – individual and organizational measures; 8. Community programs, international organizations supporting professional development. |

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS: |
Student receives profound knowledge on human development (biological, psychical and social), especially in terms of predicting professional usefulness, vocational counseling, andragogy, modern educational systems and advisory activities for people who need support in dealing with adult life problems; Student has well arranged knowledge about the goals, organization and functioning of educational institutions – including, most of all, labour market institutions, training facilities, local government and non governmental institutions realizing the scope of continuing vocational education; Student has profound abilities to observe, search, name, register and monitor information on educational and social problems; Student is able to cooperate with others, work in a team; Student acquires profound awareness of his/her knowledge and skills and realizes the need for continuing personal and professional development within his/her specialization; Student is convinced that it is preferred and necessary to conduct professionally and follow the principles of professional ethics, self-development, undertaking various roles regarding the labour market and education facilities, including these for adults. Student is able to search for the best solutions and opportunities to deal with educational and social problems, both in local and macro social scale. |
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
Informative lecture – including, inter alia, multimedia presentations and presentations of selected problems of modern world of labour (studies project realized in a group) and a corresponding plenary discussion.
