  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;

Short description:

Students become familiar with the methodology and tools of scientific research. They can prepare a scholarly text on their own. They know the formal and content-related requirements of writing a dissertation. Students understand the notion of “good practice in science”. In their work, they are guided by ethical principles. *

During seminar classes, students will become familiar with the studying process. They will acquire the basic knowledge in the field of scientific information, library science and bibliographic research (including Internet research). The seminar will focus on academic editing, including the rules of preparing scholarly texts. Ethical considerations, i.e. “good practice” in science will be presented and discussed.

Full description:

Technical contents: the student is being unacknowledged with the essential issues concerning the copyright. Moreover participants in classes will get to know the technique of writing the scientific work, manners of the accumulation of literature and her applications. Shared for the entire group solving scientific problems, helping write a master's thesis and individual consultation.

Methods of estimation: visualising producing the suitable part of material is a collection basis of ranking a graduate seminar.

Knowledge:

EU 04 - the student knows the object and methodological specificity pedagogies

EU 05 - the student is good at theory and methodology on the level widened in the area of work, personnel management, pre-school and early-school education, including education and other educational areas

EU 25 - the student has a knowledge concerning the manner of functioning of education various institutions and occurring relations between these circles

Abilities:

EU 02 - the student is able to integrate the theoretical knowledge of the scope of pedagogy with disciplines connected with her to the purpose of the problem analysis and diagnosing and planning practical actions

EU 05 - the student is preparing and is carrying out research, is formulating research problems, is selecting appropriate methods, techniques and research tools, is actually analysing, is interpreting and is learning a lesson from .. as well as is showing the directions of further research

Competence:

EU 01 - the student constantly is deepening his knowledge and abilities, understands the need of the constant development and building the workroom of the teacher and the researcher

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Knowledge (EK 1-2):

Evaluation 2 (D): the student doesn't have a basic knowledge in quantitative and quality testing methods, isn't able independently to select and to develop research tools to the solution to stated research problems.

Evaluation 3 (dost): the student has a basic knowledge in the restricted grade in quantitative and quality testing methods, is able independently to select and to develop the research tool for solving stated research problems.

Evaluation 4 (B): the student knows the knowledge fully in quantitative and quality testing methods, is able independently to select and to develop the research tool for solving stated research problems.

Evaluation 5 (A): the student has a knowledge fully tidied up and consolidated in quantitative and quality testing methods, is able independently to select and to develop the research tool for solving stated research problems.

Abilities (EK 3-4):

Evaluation 2 (D): the student isn't able to analyse the legitimacy of the selection of the area and the research group and research tools for solving stated research problems at his work.

Evaluation 3 (dost): the student is able in the restricted grade to make analysis of the legitimacy of the selection of the area and the research group and research tools for solving stated research problems at one's work.

Evaluation 4 (B): the student is able actually to make analysis of the legitimacy of the selection of the area and the research group and research tools for solving stated research problems at one's work.

Evaluation 5 (A): the student is able completely correctly is making analysis of the legitimacy of the selection of the area and the research group and research tools for solving stated research problems at his work.

Competence (EK5):

Evaluation 2 (D): the student isn't open for using various methods and independent arranging research tools.

Evaluation 3 (dost): the student in the minimal step is open for using various methods and independent arranging research tools.

Evaluation 4 (B): is open for using various methods and independent arranging research tools.

Evaluation 5 (A): student opened and employed to a high degree to for using various methods and independent arranging research tools.

1. The own work of the student.

2. Preparing instruments for reserching.

3. To wright the thesis.
