Short description:	The course concentrates on selected European Union legal instruments and policy to regulate electronic commerce. Both existing legislation and newly introduced legislation that is not yet in force will be discussed. The course will focus in particular on the changes introduced by the Digital Services Act and the Digital Markets Act.

Responsibility and liability of intermediaries. New obligations of platforms and gatekeepers E-commerce and consumer protection GDPR and ePrivacy Digital content and digital services contracts Geoblocking in the light of EU law Applicable law and jurisdiction Supervision and redress
