Course level: B1 Lower-intermediate Course targets: After finishing semester I, student is expected to: understand the main points of clear simple spoken input and will be able to write and talk fluently and accurately on the topics listed in the course description. Entrance requirements: A candidate student must be at A2 level of Russian as defined by Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of informatin on familiar and routine matters.Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need. |

Course content: Vocabulary: * Forms of address * The family * House, flat – equipment * Daily routine Grammar: * use of nouns with adjectives with stems ending in a hard and a soft consonant in the specific cases * Declension of Possessive * the use of the word „есть”; expression друг с другом * Adverbs of time (ex. сейчас, за, через, днём, в течение, после) * Declension of Simple and Cardial Numerals * the 1. and 2. Conjugation of the Verb (continuation) Academic skills: presenting one’s opinion, making a short presentation Assessment: Continuous assessment on the basis of class attendance (no more than two absences in a semester), active participation, preparation for classes;passing semester tests. |
