The aim of the course is to present the EU institutions and to discuss the basic principles of the EU. |

1. the EU's institutional system in general: the concept of the EU's institutional framework, the types of bodies, the governing principles between EU bodies and between EU bodies and Member States; 2. the nature, organisation, internal structure, decision-making procedure and acts adopted by the European Council 3. nature, organisation, internal structure, decision-making procedure and legal acts adopted by the Council; 4. nature, organisation, internal structure, decision-making procedure and legal acts adopted by the European Commission; 5. the nature, organisation, internal structure, decision-making procedures and legal acts adopted by the European Parliament, 6. the Court of Justice of the EU; 7. the nature, organisation, internal structure, decision-making process and legal acts adopted by the Court of Auditors 8. the EU's financial institutions: the European Central Bank and the European Investment Bank; 9.EU subsidiary bodies (Economic and Social Committee, Committee of the Regions), EU agencies; national bodies as dual bodies; 10.Cooperation of national courts with the CJEU under the preliminary ruling procedure; 11. the principle of direct effect 12. the principle of primacy of EU law over national law; 13. the principle of indirect effect; 14. the principle of the Member State's liability for damages for breach of EU law; 15. colloquium; |
