Classes are connected with the lecture of the same title. Issues to be covered include archaeological cultures of the Early Iron Age, their development and transformation. Especially addressed are the issues concerning the geographical peripheries of Europe, namely Balkan, Apennine and Iberian Peninsulas, and British Isles. |

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS: |
KNOWLEDGE: Student has knowledge of chronology and archaeological cultures of Early Iron Age Europe, defines and characterizes their most important elements. Student is able to recognize and explain the social and cultural phenomena. SKILLS: Student is able to identify and classify monuments, artifacts and other cultural elements from the Early Iron Age. Student is able to derive conclusions on the basis of archaeological reports and scientific publications. Can prepare a given subject in a form of an oral presentation and written work with the bibliography and references. COMPETENCIES: The student can independently seek information on a given topic, participate in a discuss, and is creative and open to the opinions of other team members. At the same time can be critical to scientific theses. Student activity / workload in hours: participation in the classes - 30 hours time to prepare a presentation - 10 hours time to write an essay - 10 hours preparation for classes - 10 hours TOTAL HOURS - 60 NUMBER OF ECTS - 60 HOURS = 2 ECTS |
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
Assessment: 1.Oral presentation on a given topic or written work with references and bibliography on the same subject Terms of assessment: Grade 2 (insufficient) student does not have the basic knowledge, skills and competences in the field of archeology of the Early Iron Age in Europe (geography, chronology, archaeological cultures etc.). Grade 3 (sufficient), student has a basic knowledge, skills and competencies in the above range Grade 4 (good) has particular knowledge, skills and competencies in the above range and correctly understands issues of archeology of the Early Iron Age in Europe, is able to formulate opinions and discuss a given topic Grade 5 (very good), the student moves freely within the above mentioned areas. |
