Short description:

During the course, issues of key issues in the field of economic efficiency, methods of assessing the economic functioning of business entities, methods of economic efficiency of enterprises, methods of restructuring of business entities, selection and execution of execution, continuation of economic processes, including investment and development projects.

Full description:

The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the subject matter and scope of the process of economic efficiency research in various entities and institutions, with particular emphasis on methods of carrying out economic efficiency tests in enterprises. Within the scope of the problem, the student acquires knowledge about the methodology of the assessment of the economic functioning of business entities, the methodology of the study of the economic efficiency of enterprises, the methods of restructuring of economic entities, the selection and implementation of the execution, the continuation of the implemented economic processes, including the investment and development projects. Key topics of the subject are also the analysis of the economic situation of the examined entity, the development of optional directions of the proper development strategy, the restructuring and the improvement of the diagnosed situation. In the field of these research processes it is important to examine the economic and financial situation of an enterprise including the analysis of indicator, audit of financial statements and reporting.

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS:

EK1_W03 Understands the social mechanisms related to the economic sectors, economic institutions, different types of social structures and institutions, and has a basic understanding of relations between them at national, international and intercultural levels in relation to social sciences.

EK1_W09 Has basic knowledge about the functioning of financial markets, methods of studying the economic effectiveness of entities operating in modern economies.

EK1_W10 Knowledge of norms and rules organizing social structures and their correctness and their sources, changes and methods of operation and methodologies of assessing the economic functioning of economic entities, methods of researching economic efficiency of enterprises, methods of restructuring of economic entities, selection and execution of carrying out Economic processes, including investment and development projects.

EK1_U01 Can practically apply knowledge to solve simple economic problems and to give opinions on various economic and social issues. He is able to project the economic situation of the investigated entity and indicate the direction of the appropriate development strategy, restructuring and improvement of the diagnosed situation.

EK1_U02 Can think critically, using patterns of rationality.

EK1_U03 Can use economic data sources and methods of analyzing them, and critically analyze their way of obtaining them using the normative systems and selected legal, professional and moral norms, rules, and ethics related to the studied direction.

EK1_U04 Can interpret economic data and social phenomena in the fields of science and disciplines relevant to the study direction.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Prerequisite for passing the course and obtaining the final grade is a positive assessment from the exercises and the exam

98-100 points from the exercises slows down from the exam and gives you the right to final grade 5.0

93-97 points from the exercises frees from the exam and gives you the right to final grade 4.5

83-92 points from the exercises are exempt from the exam and give you the right to final grade 4.0

In any other case, the exam grade is the final grade.

Practical placement:

During the traineeship, the student should use the knowledge of the subject matter. The type of business entity and institution, the scope of duties, the activities carried out, the tasks entrusted to the student for performance during the apprenticeship should be correlated in key issues with the subject matter.
