Short description: |
English as a Foreign Language class is a a general English class in a group of 10-20 students (usually). The activities include in-class tasks and exercises with the teacher as well as doing homework and one's own work. The aim of the class is to improve the level of general abilities in using English, gaining elements of intercultural competences and a stronger sense of confidence in communiation using English. |

At the English classes we propose: - conversations in English with the teacher and in the group on topics proposed in the textbook and general ones, - various exercises that cover the skills of reading, listening, speaking and writing - theory and practise on grammar and vocabulary - reading/film and presentation of one's own project (in the 3rd/4th term) - periodic tests (short quizzes/end of term tests) The forms of work include big/small group work, pair work, individual work, vocabulary and grammar exercises, acting out scenes, discussions, songs, drama method, mnemotechniques and activation techniques - in a friendly atmosphere that supports communication. |

Credit for the class is given based on the following elements: 1. attandance at class; 2. homework; 3. (if applies - own work: a task or presentation on a topic chosen by the teacher and presenting it) 4. written test on the material done in class 5. after completed 4 semesters - written and oral exam (listening, reading, language in use, writing, speaking) |
