Level of course: Basic Objectives of the course: Main objective of the course is to gain knowledge about the most advanced methods of electronic text editing. During the exercises, students will gain practice in preparing of large publications such as books or scientific projects. Course will allow students to prepare to work in places such as edition office or publishing house. Students will train 10 fingers typing technique and fast text editing. Other objectives are to learn how to prepare 500-page book in less than 30 minutes. They will be also introduced into basic terms of typography and designing rules. Prerequisites: Basic computer skills. |

Course contents: Advanced text editing. Knowledge of text formats. Master skills of keyboard shortcuts for fast editing. 10-fingers typing technique. Adding graphics to text. Formatting of text using styles. Automated view and flow document control. Preparation of books: table of contents, pagination, chapter flow control, title pages, headers and footers. Bases of typography. Group text editing. Date bases and mail merge. Basic usage of a spreadsheet. Assessment methods: Test: keyboard shortcuts knowledge Test: 10 fingers typing Test: rapid books preparing |

(in Polish) 1. Potrafi szybko edytować dokument tekstowy. 2. Potrafi przystosować formy graficzne do wymagań dokumentu tekstowego 3. Łączy różne obiekty w dokumencie. 4. Zna i wykorzystuje możliwości szybkiej edycji pliku tekstowego. 5. Posiada umiejętność korzystania z podstawowych funkcji: programu do prezentacji multimedialnych, arkusza kalkulacyjnego oraz bazy danych. 6. Potrafi pisać bezwzrokowo na klawiaturze komputera. 7. Posiada umiejętność pracy w grupie i czuje się odpowiedzialny za jej wyniki . 30 godzin - uczestnictwo w ćwiczeniach 5 godzin - prace domowe 5 godzin - przygotowanie do kolokwiów 5 godzin - przygotowanie do prezentacji multimedialnej 15 godzin - ćwiczenia z pisania bezwzrokowego na klawiaturze Razem: 60 godzin = 2 punkty ECTS |
