  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Classes concern the art of writing a reportage, its various types, as well as the use of the appropriate language for this journalistic genre in the texts.

1. Reportage as a journalistic genre.

2. Between journalism and literature. Literary features of reportage.

10. Analysis of the book-reportage by C. Łazarewicz “Let there be no traces. The case of Grzegorz Przemyk ”.

11-12. Discussion of reports prepared by students themselves.

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS:

EK nr 1 - the student distinguishes basic journalistic genres and knows how to apply them in practice.

EK nr 2 - the student distinguishes and can apply the style and language characteristic for reportage in the text

EK No. 3 - criticizes the information obtained for the reportage

EK nr 4 - has the ability to acquire information and good contact with informants - heroes of reportage

EK No. 5 is able to verify the information obtained

EK nr 6 has the ability to use archival sources and is able to apply them in reportage.

EK nr 7 - student can write a press reportage.

30 hours - active participation in exercises

15 hours - preparation of readings and written homework

10 hours - preparation of your own reporter's text

5 hours - consultation with the teacher

60 hours - together

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

EK nr 1 - the student distinguishes basic journalistic genres and knows how to apply them in practice;

for grade 2 - the student does not distinguish between basic journalistic genres and can not put them into practice;

- for grade 3 - the student distinguishes journalistic genres and knows how to apply them in practice at the basic level;

- for grade 4 - the student distinguishes journalistic genres well and knows how to apply them in practice;

- for the grade 5 - the student quickly and well distinguishes journalistic genres and very efficiently and creatively knows how to apply them in practice;

EK nr 2 - the student distinguishes and can apply the style and language characteristic for reportage in the text

for grade 2 - the student does not distinguish and can not apply the style and language characteristic of reportage in the text;

- for grade 3 - the student distinguishes and is able to apply in the text the style and language characteristic of basic reportage;

- for grade 4 - the student distinguishes well and can apply the style and language characteristic for reportage in the text;

- for the grade 5 - the student quickly and very well distinguishes and is able to apply the style and language characteristic for reportage in the text;

EK No. 3 - criticizes the information obtained for the reportage

for grade 2 - the student does not criticize the information obtained for the reportage;

- for grade 3 - the student has minimal criticism in the assessment of the information he has obtained for the reportage;

- for grade 4 - the student is criticized in the assessment of the information obtained for the reportage in a good degree;

- for grade 5 - the student clearly criticizes the assessment of information obtained for the report

EK nr 4 - has the ability to acquire information and good contact with informants - heroes of reportage;

for grade 2 - the student does not have the ability to acquire information and good contact with informants - the heroes of the reportage;

- for grade 3 - the student has the ability to acquire information and good contact with informants - the heroes of the reportage to a sufficient degree;

- for the grade 4 - the student has a good ability to obtain information and good contact with informants - the heroes of the reportage;

- for grade 5 - the student has the ability to acquire information and good contact with informants - the heroes of the reportage to a very good degree;

EK No. 5 is able to verify the information obtained

for grade 2 - the student is not able to verify the information obtained;

- for grade 3 - the student knows how to verify the acquired information at the basic level;

- for grade 4 - the student verifies the acquired information well;

- for grade 5 - the student is able to verify the acquired information very well and well.

EK nr 6 has the ability to use archival sources and is able to apply them in reportage

for grade 2 - the student does not have the ability to use archival sources and can not use them in reportage;

- for grade 3 - the student has the ability to use archival sources and is able to apply them in the reportage to a sufficient degree;

- for grade 4 - the student has a good ability to use archival sources and knows how to use them in reportage;

- for grade 5 - the student has the ability to use archival sources and is able to apply them in the reportage to a very good degree.

EK nr 7 - student can write a press reportage

for grade 2 - the student can not write a press report;

- for grade 3 - the student is able to write a press coverage sufficiently;

- for grade 4 - the student can write a press report in a good degree;

- for grade 5 - the student can write a very good press report.

The final grade consists of the grade obtained from a self-written reportage on a specific topic, reportage samples prepared for classes, activity during classes, work with text during classes.

The student may not be present twice in class.
