Short description:	Goal of the subject: Presenting students with the knowledge on world media systems, including the functioning of media in the contemporary European countries, countries of the Northern America, Japan, so that the students could: - know and easily distinguish the most important media institutions in the selected above regions of the world, - analyse phenomena of concentration in media and information globalisation and legal limitation of the freedom of press.

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS:	- Knows the basics and operation of selected contemporary foreign media systems - Can identify the dependencies and relationships between key players in the Polish and global media market and programmatic lines of major Polish and international media - Recognizes the importance of teaching about the media for the maintenance and development of normal relations and social environments apply this knowledge to design professional activities Description of ECTS credits: - participation in class (30) - preparation to discuss in class (30). Total 60 hours. - 2 ECTS credits.
