Item Level: basic Objectives of the course: Presenting the Word of God as a source of catechesis. To familiarize students with the biblical renewal of catechesis in the spirit of modern catechetical documents Prerequisites: Knowledge of basic catechetical documents Knowledge of the Conciliar constitution on Divine Revelation Dei Verbum and the Exhortation Verbum Domini. The Bible in catechesis – lecture 1. The Bible in catechesis - a look through the prism of history 2. Catechetical ministry of the word based on the catechetical documents of the Church 3. The Word of God is the basic source of catechesis 4. Kerygmatic renewal of catechesis 5. The model of biblical pedagogy - an inspiration for catechesis 6. Forms of biblical catechesis, biblical methodology - illustrative methods 7. Methods of biblical catechesis (illustrative, exegetical and existential) 8. Aids for biblical catechesis 1) Getting to know the texts of the propagators of the kerygmatic trend in catechesis - (Father J. Charytański, Father M. Finke, Father F. Blachnicki, Father J. A. Jungmann SJ) 2) biblical methodology - illustrative methods 3) biblical methodology - exegetical methods 4) biblical methodology - existential methods 5) examination of textbooks in terms of the use of biblical methods 6) forms of extracurricular work with the Bible at school - Biblical work, proposals for Bible competitions, Bible groups, lecture groups, and others 7) analysis of fragments of Benedict XVI's apostolic exhortation Verbum Domini on the Word of God in the life and mission of the Church from 2010. |

ACCESS CODE FOR MS TEAMS COURSE: j3n0ru8 After completing the course, the student: EK1 - has in-depth knowledge of the subject and methodological specificity of theology, in particular in the field of biblical sciences; EK2 - has an organized and in-depth knowledge leading to a specialization in the field of practical theology; EK3 - has research skills in the field of theology, including in particular the analysis of biblical texts, allowing for an original solution of catechetical problems; EK4 - can creatively engage in various forms of catechetical activity; EK5 - understands the need for intellectual and religious-spiritual formation throughout life; can inspire and organize the educational process; independently and critically complements knowledge and skills. Obligatory participation in lectures - 15 hours. Obligatory participation in exercises - 15 hours. Exam preparation: 20 hours Independent analysis of source materials: 20 hours. Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
Class attendance, current assessment; preparation of an original concept of the biblical catechetical initiative Credit with grade EK1 referred to as "has in-depth knowledge of the subject and methodological specificity of theology, in particular in the field of biblical sciences": for the grade: Ndst (2) - does not show any knowledge of the Bible in catechesis; Dst (3) - demonstrates basic knowledge of the Bible in catechesis; B (4) - shows in-depth knowledge of the Bible as a source of catechesis. Bdb (5) - demonstrates in-depth knowledge of the Bible as a source of catechesis and the biblical element and dimension of catechesis. EK2 described as "has an organized and in-depth knowledge leading to specialization in the field of practical theology". For the assessment: Ndst (2) - does not present any knowledge of the principles of the transmission of the Bible in catechesis; Dst (3) - presents the basic knowledge about the principles of Bible interpretation in catechesis; B (4) - presents an organized and in-depth knowledge of the principles of Bible interpretation in catechesis; Bdb (5) - presents an organized and in-depth knowledge of the interpretation of the Bible in catechesis, using the content of catechetics and biblical theology; EK3 referred to as "can creatively engage in various forms of catechetical activity". For the assessment: Ndst (2) - does not present or present an incorrect proposal of a Bible-based catechetical activity in a parish or school; Dst (3) - presents a proposal of a Bible-based catechetical activity in a parish or school learned during the class; B (4) - presents an original proposal of a catechetical activity based on the Bible in a parish or school; Bdb (5) - presents an original proposal for a catechetical activity based on the Bible in the parish and at school; EK4 described as "understands the need for intellectual and religious-spiritual formation throughout life; can inspire and organize the process of education; independently and critically complements knowledge and skills". For the assessment: Ndst (2) - does not indicate any proposal for the formation of catechists inspired by the Bible; Dst (3) - quotes a selected proposal for the formation of catechists inspired by the Bible, learned during the classes; B (4) - presents the selected proposal for the formation of catechists inspired by the Bible, learned during the classes, and evaluates it; Bdb (5) - presents an original proposal for the formation of catechists inspired by the Bible. |
