Short description:

Development of theTheology of Spirituality in relation to ecumenical theology. It covers historical aspects that point to the prospect of ecumenical unity on the level of spirituality. Therefore, it takes up the issue of not only interdenomination dialogue, but also the spiritual aspects that arise from the Gospel and may constitute a space for spiritual unity. It also concerns the possibility of using the tools of sanctifying means contained in the entire diversity of Christian denominations.

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS:

On the level of knowledge: The student defines ecumenical spirituality; characterizes particular directions of development depending on denomination; defines the spaces of cooperation in the field of the development of the spiritual life of Christians.

On the level of skills: knows how to properly analyze the spirituality of individual denominations; is able to make a proper comparison, resolves disputes in the field of religious spirituality; has the ability to implement the learned content into practical spirituality.

On the level of competence: has a critical attitude in assessing the influences of contemporary trends in spirituality; conducts discussions on the bilateral and multilateral level, pointing to aspects of spirituality; initiates a variety of meetings leading to the formation of an open attitude towards other Christian denominations; strives to shape the knowledge and attitudes of Catholics about the spirituality of other Christian denominations.

Active participation in lectures: 30 hours

Student's own work: 20 hours

Consultation with the teacher: 10 hours

Total: 60 hours = 2 ECTS

EE 1: knows the concepts of ecumenical spirituality; characterizes particular directions of development depending on denominatio; defines the spaces of cooperation in the field of the development of the spiritual life of Christians.

For the assessment:

2: does not know the basic concepts of ecumenical spirituality.

3: knows the key concepts of ecumenical spirituality, can generally relate them to the knowledge of the spiritual life of Christians.

4: correctly defines most concepts in the field of ecumenical spirituality, properly relates them to the entirety of issues in the field of ecumenism.

5: precisely defines the concepts of ecumenical spirituality and relates them to the whole of ecumenism.

EE 2: can independently search, analyze and evaluate information about the spirituality of individual faiths; is able to make a proper comparison, resolves disputes in the field of Christian spirituality; has the ability to implement the learned content into practical spirituality.

2: Cannot prepare a proposal for the selection of content in the field of spirituality of individual faiths that meets the basic criteria

3: Is able to prepare a simple proposal for the selection of content in the field of spirituality of individual denominations in response to the given criteria.

4: Prepares a full proposal for the selection of content in the field of spirituality of individual faiths, adequate to the given criteria

5: The prepared proposal for the selection of content in terms of the spirituality of individual denominations is distinguished by an original solution to complex problems and a very good selection of research methods and tools.

EE 3: has a critical attitude in assessing the influences of contemporary trends in spirituality; conducts discussions on the bilateral and multilateral level, pointing to aspects of spirituality; initiates a variety of meetings leading to the formation of an open attitude towards other Christian denominations; strives to shape the knowledge and attitudes of Catholics about the spirituality of other Christian denominations.

2: He does not feel the need to deepen his competences in the field of contemporary trends in spirituality

3: Analyzes acquired competences in the field of contemporary trends in spirituality

4: Understands the need for intellectual as well as religious-spiritual formation throughout life

5: Can define priorities for the implementation of a task set by himself or others, carefully monitors changes in the developing thought in the field of contemporary spirituality, analyzes them and draws mature conclusions.

Method of verification of learning outcomes: oral final exam.

The condition for completing the course is achieving all the assumed learning outcomes.

The number of points obtained from:

- exam: satisfactory grade (3) – 50-60%, good grade (4) - 60-85%, very good - 85-100%;

- attendance at classes: satisfactory grade – from 60%, good grade - 60-95%, very good - 95-100%.
