The aims of the object: Introduction of the students from the process is shaping biblical books, the exceptional character of Bible and problems connected with her interpretation. |
Full description: |
First the students will learn specificity of the Christian Bible (Old and New Testaments) and the source of its sacred character. The starting point is therefore the nature of biblical inspiration and its consequences. Then, after hearing the oral tradition and the process of writing of biblical books, students are introduced to issues relating to the canonicity of the Bible. Against this background, learn about the issues concerning the Apocrypha and Qumran writings. In a further step teacher will explain them the main issues related to the original texts, translations of the Bible, methodology and principles of the textual criticism and the most significant issues of the noematic and heuristic. |

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS: |
1) achievement of knowledge from biblical introduction 2) knowledge of the canon of Hebrew, Greek and Christian Bible 3) knowledge of the meaning of Holy Scriptures on background of different holy books 4) the skill of the discussion on biblical subjects |
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
There is the oral examination on the end of the lecture. The opinion depends on the number of points got on the examination. To get the opinion 3 should win 55 points, opinion 4 - 75 points, opinion 5 - minimum 90 points. |
