Short description: |
The student consolidates the knowledge in Religious Sciences he acquired during his Master’s Degree Studies. Theology PhD student has a knowledge of Fundamental Theology (dealing with issues concerning religion seen as a universal phenomenon, present in every culture of the world), Religious studies, Philosophy of religion and Psychology of religion. The lecture will prepare the attendants to undertake a brave and creative interreligious dialogue in a growingly pluralistic society. |

The lecture will also give attention to religiology - a methodical reflection on religion taking into consideration the following aspects: empirical (Religious studies), philosophical (Philosophy of religion) and theological-religious (Theology of religion). The focus will be on Theology of religion as a science undertaking reflection on the salutary value of non-Christian religious in the light of Christian revelation. The theological basis of dialogue with non-Christian religions and the forms of this dialogue will be presented. Finally, chances and obstacles of this dialogue will be discussed. |
