The lecture aims to familiarize students with the issues concerning eschatology in a biblical perspective, in tradition, and in the statements of the Church’s Magisterium, as well as in the contemporary theological publications.

Prerequisites: Introductory issues from theology, credit from fundamental theology, charitology and dogmatic Christology.

4. Eschatology in the statements of the Church’s Magisterium

5. Types of eschatology

6. Problematisc of man’s death

7. Problem of the immortality of the soul

8. Participation of man in the paschal mystery of Christ

9. Particular and last judgments

10. Perfect joy of the saved in heaven

11. Hell as God lost forever

12. Development of the teaching on the purgatory (errors and statements of the Church’s Magisterium)

13. Purgatory as cleansing love

14. Parousia

15. Renewal of the world and realization of the kingdom of God
