Short description:

The reality contained in the word "Church" is too rich to be expressed in a single concept or definition. It is a reality of the mystery of faith, with a visible-invisible structure, characterized by a living dynamism in the whole world, and which springs from the mission of Christ received and continued by him. The Church is also of great importance in the dimension of history. Ecclesiology as well as Mariology are realities that need to be explained from various complementary aspects. This lecture will attempt to look at the reality of the Church and the Church's teaching on Mary from the perspective of faith, but also from that of history. Our reflection will be systematized by the teaching of the Second Vatican Council and the contemporary theological debate.
