The scope of the course is exegetical and theological analysis of selected passages of the canonical Gospels using various research methods used in modern Biblical studies. |

1. A methodological introduction to the problem of the relationship between exegesis and theology of the New Testament. 2. Reading of Matthew 1-2. 3. Anthropological and cultural reading of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount (Mt 5-7). 4. Anthropological and cultural reading of the Eight Beatitudes (Mt 5:1-12). 5. Anthropological and cultural interpretation temptation of Jesus (Mt 4:1-11) 6. The beloved disciple in the Gospel of John. 7. Exegesis and theology of John 15. |

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS: |
Learning outcomes (LO) LO 1 After completing the course the student has ordered and in-depth knowledge of exegesis and theology of canonical Gospels (TD-W02). LO 2 In terms of skills, the student analyzes and critically evaluates the hypotheses of various authors and is able to apply the literary techniques learned in class (TD-U06) for the analysis of the studied texts. LO 3 In terms of social competence, the student is open to various points of view, creative in the personal use of acquired knowledge and skills for reading biblical texts (TD-K03). Description of ECTS: Participation in classes: 15 hours. Student's own work and consultation with the teacher: 30 hours. Total: 45 hours = 1.5 ECTS. |
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
Verification of learning outcomes will take place at two stages: 1) an essay written on a topic indicated by the teacher related to the interpretation of the lecture's works; 2) oral exam during the session. Final result will be a mean value. |
