The classes concern a comprehensive introduction to the cultural context of the New Testament times - from a historical, philosophical, social, anthropological, religious perspective, etc. |
Full description: |
Classes will include the following thematic blocks: 1. Political history of New Testament times. 2. New Testament literature and Greek-Hellenistic-Roman literature. 3. Early Christianity and Greco-Hellenistic philosophy. 4. Perception of the first Christians by the pagan world and the reasons for hostility towards them. 5. Primary Christianity and religions of the Hellenistic-Roman world. 6. Honor as the fundamental value of man in the Mediterranean world and the highest value of faith in Jesus Christ. |

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS: |
TEAM CODE: EK 1: The lecturer gains a thorough knowledge of the social context of the New Testament. EK 2: Based on the acquired knowledge, the doctoral student develops the ability to comprehensively and independently interpret historical sources and use the rich literature on the subject. EK 3: PhD student has the habit of extending knowledge and looking for inspiration in various fields. ECTS credits: Participation in lectures: 15 hours. = 0,5 ECTS Written work: 45 hours = 1,5 ECTS Preparation for the oral exam: 60 hours = 2 ECTS |
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
The final grade will be the result of the written work that the doctoral student will write on the given topic and the oral exam. |
