Short description:

The course prepares students for catechetical work with children by acquaintance with the principles of catechetical didactics and showing catechetical methods together with the criteria for their selection.

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS:

1. knowledge - the student demonstrates knowledge of the elements and forms of religious education, the basic principles of religious education didactics; defines the place and role of a method in catechesis, enumerates selected catechetical methods; discusses basic issues regarding cross-subject correlation; lists areas of catechist formation.

2. skills - the student demonstrates the skill of catechetical planning - further and closer, as well as proper use of methods and didactic means of the catechetical process; constructs an outline of a religion lesson or catechetical meeting; plans a path of personal professional development.

3. competences - the student adjusts the message adequately to the recipient and his individual needs; undertakes and initiates cooperation with teachers of other subjects or animators in the parish; communicates with basic catechetical communities to improve the quality of operations.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Ongoing assessment; result of the exam completing the course.

The exam in the form of a test, taking into account the scope of the whole material, discussed during classes. The student is expected to demonstrate basic knowledge in the field of teaching and catechetical methodology in the light of the catechetical indications of the Church, program assumptions and subject literature.

Obtaining 50% points from the test and above guarantees a positive assessment and indicates sufficient, good or very good mastery of the material.

Obtaining 50% of points and below - lack of basic knowledge and failure to complete the subject
