1. Slavic Pantheon , in the light of the new comparative mythology 2. Perun , the god of the heavens and the thunder 3. Myths about the creation and preservation of the world’s order 4. The multiple Perun: Svetowit, Rujevit with his companions, Jarovit - Jarylo 5. Veles , the god of magic, swearing and the beyond 6. The synonymous Deities: The God with Three Heads and Trojan - the solar and Fire’s Deities: Svarog, Swarozyc, Radogost, Dadzbog - the minor Deities: Chors, Stribog, Simargl and Pereplut 7. The human community, farm and land in the mythology: towards a Dlugosz’ Olympus - Gemini and the female Deities - Mokosh - Rod and rodzanice, Dola and witchs of destiny 8. After the finish of the course the knowledge: EK 1 - the student has knowledge of standards establishing and governing structures and social institutions and the sources of these standards, their nature, changes and ways to influence human behavior (RL_W18); the skills: EK 2 - he cans search, analyze, evaluate, and use information from written sources and electronic equipment (RL_U01); the social competence: EK 3 - he knows the scope of his knowledge and skills, understands the need for learning throughout life (K_K03). Description of credits: Participation in the lecture: 30 hours The student's own work: 30 hours Total: 60 hours = 2 ECTS |

EE nr 1 referred to as "familiar with the basic elements of the religion of ancient Slavs, is aware of the multiple determinants of ancient Slavic religion" For the grade: Non sufficient (2): he doesn’t know the basic elements of the religion of ancient Slavs Sufficient (3): he knows some elements of the religion of ancient Slavs Good (4); he correctly defines most of the elements of religion of ancient Slavs Very good (5): he defines precisely all the elements of the religion of ancient Slavs and is able to identify multiple determinants of ancient Slavic religion EE nr 2 referred to as "he cans confront the Slavic cults with the polytheism in the ancient world" For the grade: Non sufficient (2): He can not confront the Slavic cults with the polytheism in the ancient world Sufficient (3): he cans confront the Slavic cults with the polytheism in the ancient world in one or another aspect Good (4): as a whole he is able to confront the Slavic cults with the polytheism in the ancient world Very good (5): he cans confront the Slavic cults with the polytheism in the ancient world and recognize the analogy with the precise dates EE nr 3 referred to as "he sees the connections of the former Slavic religion with the contemporary religiosity in Poland" For the grade:: Non sufficient (2): he does not see the connections of the former Slavic religion with the contemporary religiosity in Poland Sufficient (3): he recognizes very selectively the connections of the former Slavic religion with the contemporary religiosity in Poland Good (4): he recognizes correctly the connections of the former Slavic religion with the contemporary religiosity in Poland Very good: (5) he recognizes correctly the connections of the former Slavic religion with the contemporary religiosity in Poland and cans express it precisely The verification of learning results: final test. The condition to complete the subject is the obtaining of all established points. The number of the obtained points determines the positive grade of the subject: - Test: sufficient - sufficient plus - 50-60%, good - good plus - 60-85%, very good - 85-100%; - Presence: sufficient - 60%; good - 60-95%, very good- 95-100%. |
