Short description:	level of course: Elementary objectives of the course: Students learn about and interpret the communication process; they study the documents issued by the Church related to mass media; the students gain the ability to prepare and assess multimedia productions and to write articles for the press and the Internet, they learn to use audio, photo and video equipment and study how these devices work. prerequisites: general knowledge and cultural context of mass media; they learn to use a computer with special focus on the Office package and programs for multimedia presentations.
Full description:	course contents: Introduction to the sciences related to social communication (basic elements and questions); Media education (developing the ability of conscious, critical and selective use of mass media) assessment methods: 3rd semester - no final grades 2 projects per semester (set by the lecturer) 4th semester - end-of term grade 2 projects per semester, a test at the end of the semester
