objectives of the course:

Students acquire basic knowledge of Latin; basic knowledge of classical culture with the elements of history and ancient literature; the study of Christian texts written in Latin, patristic and liturgical in nature.

prerequisites:

Knowledge of basic Latin grammar (tenses, syntax and word formation) acquired in the course of the 1st year of study.

The syntax and style of Latin, practice in translation of Latin texts.

assessment methods:

Regular testing – 4 tests evaluating knowledge of the material studied in class, active participation, attendance.

Summer semester – exam.
