Short description:	level of course: Elementary objectives of the course: Students are supposed to acquire basic knowledge of penal law of the Church, indispensable in dealing with penal cases in civil and ecclesiastical courts in sacramental and extra-sacramental context. prerequisites: The students should be competent in the regulations of ecclesiastical legislation that penal and canonical norms refer to.
Full description:	course contents: Penal statute and penal order, the subject of penal sanctions, particular sanctions of the Church (excommunication, interdict, suspension) and other penal measures, administering punishment in the Church, punishment for particular (major) crimes. assessment methods: Oral or written examination
