objectives of the course:

The aim of the course is to develop students’ knowledge of sacraments in their visible and invisible structure. That is why the course focuses on problems related to general and specific Sacramentology. The scientific content of the course includes some issues of Eschatology, the study of reality that awaits man after biological death.

prerequisites:

Competence in Propaedeutics of Theology.

course contents:

Sacramentology: systematic meaning of the notions: mystery, sacrament, sign, symbol. Christ as a sacrament, the church as a sacrament. Sacraments in general: the origin of sacraments, their nature and efficacy, sacraments – personal and social approach. In-depth Sacramentology: baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance, Extreme Unction, Matrimony, Priesthood.

Eschatology: biblical foundations of Eschatology. Historical and dogmatic development ( Apocatastasis, Massa dammnata). Systematic approach: death, resurrection, the state between death and resurrection, immortality of the soul, judgement, purgatory, hell, heaven).
