objectives of the course:

The aim of the course is further education in the field of moral theology. During the first semester students become familiar with specific moral attitudes. Student gains competences to judge ethical and moral deeds with reference to the particulars of the work, the nature, the subject and the object of particular virtues as well as knowledge of the deeds contrary to these. Second semester is devoted to introducing the problem of morality, as a source of moral attitudes, in connection with the professed religious faith within a particular religion. The student gains competences to judge ethical behaviour related to the professed faith, experiencing faith in the form of cult and this cult’s connection with everyday life.

Knowledge of the basics of philosophy, ethics, knowledge of general (fundamental) moral theology.

4.Faith as a virtue.

5.Faith as a moral norm.

6.Sins against faith.

7.Faith as a personal act. Creed and its moral implications.

8.Christian hope. Definition. Subject, object and characteristics of hope.

9.Normative character of the virtue of hope.

10.Sins against the virtue of hope.

11.Supernatural love as the greatest God's gift. Types of love and definitions of supernatural love. The term of love as understood by the encyclical "Deus Caritas Est".

12.Characteristics of Christian love.

13.God's love. Characteristics of God's love. God’s love as a moral norm.

14.Sins against God's love.

15.Love of oneself. Love of oneself in God.

16.Sins against love of oneself.

17.Love of one's neighbour. Nature, types and characteristics of the love of one's neighbour. Hierarchy of the good.

18.Sins against the love of one's neighbour.

19.Virtue of prudence. Biblical image and the relation of the virtue of prudence and the virtue of wisdom.

20.The term and the acts of wisdom.
